Relaxation

it has been a couple weeks since i have come back from my very lovely vacation, so i guess it is time to fill you in...To start off....never in my wildest dreams did i realize how much stuff i would need to pack for a 7 month old girl. Yikes! here is the short list of items .... a box of diapers (only actually used about half), wipes, 10 or so burp clothes and bibs (we go through these like water....always something coming out of her mouth..lol), a weeks worth of clothes (of course plus extras...we all know accidents happen), toys (okay yeah i prolly brought too many, she was more than happy with empty water bottles, remotes, cellphones and paper..lol), pack n' play, bouncer (life saver!), high chair, and her rocking chair (also a lifesaver...used as a napper and slept in it at night a couple of times), bath items, and of course food. And i am sure i forgot a few things...Traveling with a 7 month old was not nearly as tough as i thought it would be...i had a few toys, snack and drinks but mostly she slept! We stopped every couple hours to eat, stretch and change diapers. I hope next year is this smooth...guess we will find out.
The first couple of nights were a little tough...poor livie wasn't used to sleeping in the pack n' play so she woke up every couple of hours. It was fun to take her outside in her stroller, she loved looking around...and was curious about everything around her! *hold on onemoment....ok had to feed and change the munchkin.* While on vacation i had one more revelation...mommies don't get vacations, now i am not complaining just realizing my life is very different now. Last year i was able to read 2 books and sleep in as late as i want...fast forward to this year....i was able to scrap while Alivia was sleeping but no books were read and much less sleep was involved. However i must say it was the best vacation i have ever had....I LOVED having Alivia there it was wonderful to see her with the family and interacting with the world around her....i do believe i was created to be a mommy. One thing that would have never happened unless i was a mommy was waking up early to feed her i was able to experience the beautiful, quiet mornings...truly makes you feel close to God. I am amazed that people go to all these beautiful places and deny God...how can anyone not believe there is a God when they see a small tiny turtle, the sound of quiet lapping waves, soft crackling of camp fire, and the beauty and joy in the smile of an 7 month old.

Here are some of the many photos i took while on vacation....
